What are WPC panels?

Wood Polymer Composite or WPC panels are a hybrid mix of recycled plastics and wood by-product mixed with other additives that is machined into look-alike timber panel sheeting. They are an up and coming cladding material that can be shaped and coloured in many ways and it is taking the construction industry by storm!

How are WPC panels made?

WPC panels are made from the waste material from other forms of natural wood production such as sawdust, wood shavings, and bamboo fibers together with recycled plastic powder and other additives used to give the finished panels additional properties such as the colour, durability as well as fire and UV resistances.

The materials are mixed and heated then poured into a mold and left to cool before being cut to the desired size and shape. While custom projects are possible with this product, the purpose-built molds required can make smaller jobs incredibly expensive.
